I have been in touch with some people from Crimethinc after a number of people in Milwaukee expressed interest in hosting this upcoming summer's crimethinc convergence in Wisconsin (due to none being proposed in other places yet). There should be a lot more ways for people to help out and be involved with the planning and organizing of the event in general in the future. Right now we could use help figuring out what dates will be good to schedule it? So far it looks like it will be taking place sometime in july in between Earth First gathering and the PNC (people's networking convention taking place in Madison) in August. Does anyone know if there are any other events and projects that are taking place in this time frame both nationally and locally that would conflict with a convergence happening? We are trying to get a date figured out by this weekend.

News on the convergence front: it looks like the next convergence will be in Wisconsin in July, following a series of hosting offers and discussions. The question is, when in July? The Earth First! rendezvous is the first week of July, so that’s a bad time.
What other events are due to occur in July, that we should be careful not to double-book with? Are dates set for the national SDS convention yet? Everyone’s assistance and input about this would be really helpful. |
