i really want people to get togetehr and make zines, share zines, distro zines, etc!

i think sometimes we all have great ideas for a wonderful zine, but feel like it'd be too much work or we don't have enuff info or skill, etc. this could be an awesome skillshare opportunity.

in particular, i really want to get mke kidz together to make a zine about our bikes and how much we love them, etc. there's a lot that i know i would love to know about bikes, that i bet other kids do! how to patch tires, stuff like that. we could put it in a zine along with all kinds of poetry and art and narratives about bike experiences. i will personally write a haiku about how much i want bike racks on buses.

I am so down.

I have been wanting to do the same thing with a zine about health and body image. If anyone else is interested I think that could be a real nice thing to do some afternoon in the near future.

I'd love to help out on this. I'm pretty damned good at the program InDesign (and own it), which is used to make them.

I'd be willing to go to travel to make this work.

I know a few good publishers that are kind of cheap (for publishing) and do a good job.

I started on called Wisconsin Underground..got one issue out and it died..lack o support.

I'll supply the skills and some cash if you guys are serious.

unfortunately, both me and bmalice are goin back to school/are already away at school. but there are totally kids around who always always want to make zines.

Well, I made an olldd PHP script before for a zine site, where there were authors, they posted articles and then there were editors, etc etc.

could rig something small up where everything is edited and discussed online, then whoever decides to take the job of laying everything up and making the actual zine design can take screenshots of it, it gets discussed, etc etc.

i only have classes monday through friday, and i get done around noon (except wednesday). i have enough time to run to milwaukee once and a while if needed.

we could create a blog for whatever zine we wanted to work with and then just copy and paste shit and print it. i'm not even sure what i want to make a zine about first, but i think for anything happening in milwaukee, whether its the next issue of total destroy or something completely new or blah blah blah, we could collaborate online. i go to school in ohio, so i wont be in mke very often.
