There was talk about MKEtoRNC 'formally' endorsing the strategy for the anti-DNC organizing. I personally think MKEtoRNC should. Especially considering the talk of MKEtoRNC focusing too much on the RNC. I would like to show as much support as possible even though it's far away and I can't be as involved. What are the thoughts of others?

You can find more about the strategy here:

http://www.recreate68.org/

It has been a little behind in the developing.

I also think MKEtoRNC should endorse the DNC strategy, but there are reasons why the RNC is being focused on, mainly regional and tactical. I've felt that there has been much more possiblity seen in resisting the RNC not because it's the republicans, but because of many factors. The vibe of the DNC does not seem as uncomprimising and interested in upping the anti, to transend the typical protest and summit stereotypes, in the same way that the anti-RNC seems to.

I mean to respond to the questions that were raised in the other post against the anti-RNC strategy soon, but I forget and then remember I shouldn't be spending much time on the internet when I have so much work to be doing.

It looks like R-68 is a bit more secretive about their plans - which is okay. They've signed onto the principles of solidarity and have outlined some of their plans in their last email which you can access here: http://www.recreate68.org/first_e_news_flash.pdf

I support the tactics that I'm privy to but will not be able to make both the DNC & RNC. I think MKEtoRNC should stay focused on the RNC and that a new group should form if people are interested in organizing for the DNC.

Even so, I see no problem with MKEtoRNC "formally" endorsing the DNC strategy - we've all got (mostly) the same goal right?

dncdisruption08.org is also a good resource for details about the proposed days of action in Denver. I also agree that we should formally endorse the strategy.
