I wonder if there is anything we can do about these adds other than paying the hosting site money. hmmm.

How did we get caught in this trap of choosing a forum that is full of ads and shitty features that only get better if it isn't free? Isn't this what they call false advertizing? It is free, but at what emotional cost to the people who use it? It costs 5 dollars per month to get rid of the adds from the site, so 60 dollars per year.

probably a waste of money...better places to put said funds...like setting up a fund for the many anti-capital things we could be doing. sounds a little dichotomous, but oh well.

yeah, it would be pretty ridiculous to spend money on this site, but the adds are rather annoying. I'm sure they're intended to be.

My two favorite ads have been the "john mcain for president" ad and the "buy liberal t-shirts!" one. I'm not too bothered by them though, and definitely don't think its worth the money.
