Milwaukee anarchist zine

We should be finished with the milwaukee anarchist zine that we've been slacking on (for a number of reasons) by the end of this month. I'll try to make an online version available on the site when it's done.

some of the articles in the first issue are:
-2006 milwaukee anarchist year in review
-reportback from madison ARA protest of nazi rally
-reportback from shutting down of osh kosh national socialist movement meeting
-a breif introduction to an anarchist perspective on current issues surrounding immigration
-M19 right up
-a lot of pictures
-various interviews with local anarchists

Does anyone have any recommendations for issues or a theme for the next issue?

A discussion (or different proposals) of how to stop the gentrification of the milwaukee area would be interesting. Developement sourrounding riverwest is evident now and it won't be long until the weeds start to venture in and seek to dominate the area, threating to homogenize one of milwaukees most diverse communities.

i think that it'd be pretty cool (as small sections/add-ons) to have a d.i.y. page and possibly a craft gallery page or ad. When i was at ccc for the first time i was amazed at how creative and awesome the craft section was. just a small suggestion.

Yeah, that would be a good idea. We were planning on putting a stencil design for people to cut out in it.

A DIY/Craft section would be good, but maybe something to consider for future zines, just for the sake of getting this one out ASAP? I think if we try to make this a regular thing (every couple of months, maybe?), then the next issue could definitely have a more expanded section. Maybe just throw a "something to look forward to" blurb in this issue?

The first issue is for the most part done, some of the content needs to be shifted around, but it basically just needs to be printed out. I think frank put the pdf files up on the website, but it still needs a tiny bit more of work before it can be printed. There should be printed copies available at the CCC sometime during this week.
