The UL exists to facilitate connections between anarchists and other
anti-authoritarians to encourage actions against production and
capital. There have been several meetings so far and for the future
each meeting will take place at 7pm at the Cream City Collectives.
Listed below are some upcoming actions
1. Anti-Starbucks Coffee serving: We will be serving coffee for free
outside of the starbucks at Red Arrow Park (920 N. Water St.) near the
downtown area on Sunday morning February 10th at 9am until around
11am. The coffee will be fair-trade and we will have literature to
pass out to folks calling for an end to enslaved production and to
think about where our products come from and why we consume them to
begin with.
2. Filth-encrusted jewels: On one of our culture's most over-hyped
holidays, Valentines Day(Feb 14th), we will go to a mall in Milwaukee
with the intention of dispensing anti-diamond/consumer culture
literature and perhaps a bit more. It will either be Bayshore,
Southridge or Mayfair mall and will be in the evening hours.Details
will be forthcoming. Many bus routes go to all of these places and
perhaps we could arrange transportation for those interested.
3. The Death Toll of the Iraq War: Though the civilian casualties from
violence alone are anywhere from 80-88,000 this does not include the
hundreds of thousands dead since US embargoes, enslavement, etc. Upon
the death of the 4,000th united states soldier there will be an action
to remind all of these horrific numbers. More details forthcoming over
the next week.
